Sixth ranked Atleticos (7-20) beat at home their close opponent Grises (1-23) by 12 points 109-97, which is the biggest margin this round. Atleticos players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit) notched a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (207-87, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Five Atleticos players scored in double figures. Atleticos' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 27 points and 7 rebounds by American-Dominican guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) did not help to save the game for Grises. American forward Brandon Costner (206-87, college: NC State) added 27 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Atleticos maintains sixth position with 7-20 record which they share with defeated Grises. Grises lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 23 games lost. Atleticos will play against higher ranked Mets (#3) in Guaynabo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Grises will play at home against the league's second-placed Cariduros to get more than just one victory in their record.
