Regular Season Round 35: Fajardo - Humacao 90-82

There was no surprise in Fajardo where 6th ranked Grises (1-24) were defeated by second ranked Cariduros (16-10) 90-82 on Saturday. Cariduros looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Victor Rudd (206-91, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. International forward Emmanuel Andujar (197-93, college: Manhattan) helped adding 12 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Brandon Costner (206-87, college: NC State) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists and American-Dominican guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains second place with 16-10 record having just one point less than leader Bayamon. Grises lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 24 games lost. Cariduros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Grises will play against the league's leader Capitanes (#1) in Arecibo and hope to win that game.
