Regular Season Round 36: Guayama - Bayamon 78-82

An interesting game for Vaqueros (22-2) which played road game in Guayama against second-best Brujos (19-9). First ranked Vaqueros managed to get a 4-point victory 82-78. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Brujos. Vaqueros made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-92, college: Miami, FL, agency: Shark Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists and international forward Benito Santiago (197-89, college: Cumberlands) who added 20 points during the contest. Vaqueros' coach used entire bench in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard Terrico White (196-90, college: Ole Miss, agency: Shark Sports Management) with 25 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized American guard Jahvari Josiah (193-93, college: Coppin St., agency: Green Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Five Vaqueros and four Brujos players scored in double figures. Vaqueros have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-2 record. Brujos at the other side keep the second place with nine games lost. Vaqueros will play against league's second-placed Cariduros in Fajardo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Brujos will have a break next round.
