Regular Season Round 2: Santiagueno - Santa Tecla 62-81

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Santiagueno at the home court. Hosts were rolled over by Santa Tecla 81-62. Santa Tecla forced 21 Santiagueno turnovers. Center Carlos Arias (200-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Luis Escoto (180-96) contributed with 13 points and 4 steals for the winners. American Xavier Eaglin (201-97, college: PVAMU) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import guard EJ Blackwell (193, college: Lourdes) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Santiagueno. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Santa Tecla will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Santiagueno will play again on the road against Santa Tecla to get more than just one victory in their record.
