Fifth-ranked Leonas (2-12) made lots of trouble for third ranked UAM (7-6). UAM managed to secure only one-point victory 65-64. However their fans expected easier game. UAM forced 19 Leonas turnovers. Honduran forward Nelly Rapalo (-99) saved the victory by scoring 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Kenia Chamorro contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. UAM's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Center Guisselle Rodriguez replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds and Ancara Reichele added 22 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Leonas. UAM have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 7-6 record having four points less than leader No Fear. Leonas lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost.
