Regular Season Round 22: Real Esteli - Leon 66-64

Seventh-ranked Leon (7-8) gave a tough game to second ranked Real Esteli (11-4). Real Esteli managed to secure only two-point victory 66-64. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Leon. The former international power forward Jensen Campbell (198-98) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and Cuban Lisvan Valdez (196-88) supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Real Esteli's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 27 points and 9 rebounds by Cuban Oreste Torres (204-87) did not help to save the game for Leon. Dominican center Miguel Almonte (211-91) added 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Real Esteli used an opportunity after Brumas lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Leon at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost.
