Rather expected game when 5th ranked Santa Ana (2-2) was crushed on the road by leader San Salvador (4-0) 104-83. San Salvador forced 19 Santa Ana turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Dominican guard Bernardo Polanco (189-94) nailed a double-double by scoring 48 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winning side and American swingman Eddie Ishman (197-86, college: Miles) accounted for 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American center Marc Montavious (206-90, college: Georgetown, KY) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Maurice Taylor (198-94, college: Niagara) added 10 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Santa Ana in the defeat. Four San Salvador and five Santa Ana players scored in double figures. Santa Ana's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. San Salvador have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Aguila. Santa Ana at the other side keeps the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Brujos. San Salvador will play against league's leader Aguila in San Miguel in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Santa Ana will have a break next round.
