Regular Season Round 9: Panteras - Abejas 108-111

Rather predictable result in Aguascalientes where first ranked Abejas (8-6) edged 5th ranked Panteras (6-8) 111-108 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: GMU, agency: Inception Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Darrin Dorsey (188-87, college: DWU) chipped in 29 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian point guard Jonatan Machuca (184-89) who recorded 25 points and 4 assists and American guard Kelsey Barlow (196-91, college: UIC) added 21 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Abejas went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Astros. Loser Panteras dropped to the third place with eight games lost. They share the position with Plateros. Abejas will meet at home Libertadores (#4) in the next round. Panteras will play against Lenadores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
