Regular Season Round 15: Tipitapa - Real Esteli 70-86

An interesting game for Real Esteli (11-4) which played road game in against 4th placed Tipitapa (4-10). Second ranked Real Esteli had an easy win 86-70. Real Esteli outrebounded Tipitapa 82-50 including a 42-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Real Esteli brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a great evening for American guard Ashton Millender (173, college: DePaul) who led her team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Her fellow American import swingman DAsia Chambers (182-92, college: Slippery Rock) helped adding 18 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was Clenia Salazar with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 6 assists and Mariandrea Samayoa scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Real Esteli have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-4 record behind leader No Fear. Tipitapa at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Real Esteli will play against UAM (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tipitapa will play against Leonas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
