There was no surprise when 11th ranked Montevideo (1-7) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Aguada (4-4) 81-50 on Saturday. Aguada dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Montevideo's 28. Aguada forced 28 Montevideo turnovers and outrebounded them 60-36 including a 41-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Colombian forward Kelly Orejuela (-93) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Costa Rican Sofia Herrera chipped in 22 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Maria Pia Olivera responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and forward Victoria Cardone (160-94) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aguada maintains eighth position with 4-4 record. Montevideo lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Capurro.
