Bottom-ranked El Rapido is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to fifth ranked Santa Ana (4-2) 68-64. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for forward Maurice Taylor (198-94, college: Niagara) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Marc Montavious (206-90, college: Georgetown, KY) helped adding 22 points and 13 rebounds. Taylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Santa Ana players scored in double figures. At the losing side Reggie Baker (193-93, college: BCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Jerry Price (170, college: Rowan) scored 17 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Santa Ana moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Fantasmas. El Rapido lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Cojute. Santa Ana will play against higher ranked Santa Tecla (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. El Rapido will play against Fantasmas (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
