Bottom-ranked Tigres managed to get a third victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they edged fourth-ranked Ingenieria 70-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ingenieria. Guard Moses Malone (-86) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. American Quincy Scates (198-89, college: TWU) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Tigres players scored in double figures. Forward Ronald Lawton replied with 28 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and the former international center Rudy Taylor (198-83) added 14 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Ingenieria.
