Regular Season Round 10: Dorados - Plateros 86-85

There was no surprise in Chihuahua where 4th ranked Plateros (6-10) were edged by second ranked Dorados (8-6) 86-85 on Wednesday. Naturalized American Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) scored 19 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Dominican forward Juan Suero (196-93) chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Dorados' coach Gustavo Pacheco used entire bench in such tough game. At the losing side American swingman Aaron Valdes (196-93, college: Hawaii) responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Diamon Simpson (204-87, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Plateros players scored in double figures. Dorados have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-6 record having just three points less than leader Soles. Plateros lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with ten games lost. Dorados will meet Halcones UV Xalapa (#5) on the road in the next round. Plateros will play against Lenadores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
