Guaynabo rallied past Ponce to surge ahead in the series. Mets had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Ghanian center Amida Brimah (213-94, college: UConn) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Tyquan Rolon (192-95, college: LeMoyne) accounted for 8 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side. Four Mets players scored in double figures. American-Ivorian center Deon Thompson (204-88, college: UNC, agency: BeoBasket) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Travis Leslie (193-90, college: Georgia) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Leones in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
