Top ranked Gigantes (13-3) recorded its third loss in Carolina on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Cidra (11-7) 85-73. Cidra made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Adrienne Godbold (180-91, college: Illinois) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Her fellow American import guard Imani Watkins (173-96, college: Binghamton) chipped in 28 points. Godbold is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Cidra players scored in double figures. American-Rwandan guard Tierra Henderson (178-87, college: UCLA) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and American point guard Charity Harris (163, college: Bluefield St.) added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Cidra have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Newly promoted Cidra maintains third place with 11-7 record having just twelve point less than leader Carolina. Gigantes at the other side still keep top position with three games lost.
