Liga Femenina top team - D.Sporting (10-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Capurro (1-8) in Montevideo 71-35. D.Sporting dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Capurro's 24. D.Sporting forced 41 Capurro turnovers and had a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for Argentinian guard Julieta Ale (176-95) who led her team to a victory scoring 9 points and 7 assists. Center Josefina Rivera (177-98) helped adding 8 points and 10 rebounds. Argentinian Abril Ramirez (167-0) responded with 8 points and 13 rebounds and power forward Lorena Sapio (172-90) scored 4 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for D.Sporting. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. Capurro lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Montevideo.
