Round 5 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Univ.de Chile (3-1). They were defeated by third ranked New Crusaders (3-1) 83-69 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Univ.de Chile. It was a key game for the top position in the league. New Crusaders dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Univ.de Chile's 36. They outrebounded Univ.de Chile 49-36 including 38 on the defensive glass. New Crusaders looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Sofia Jara (-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and forward Antonia Andaur (-2) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. New Crusaders keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sergio Ceppi and Univ.de Chile. Univ.de Chile will play next round against strong Sergio Ceppi trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago - Sergio Ceppi. New Crusaders will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Luis ML in Santiago.
