Regular Season Round 6: Ceb Puerto Montt - Alemana P. 50-87

Another exciting game was between top-ranked Alemana P. and second-best Ceb Puerto Montt where Alemana P. (4-0) crushed Ceb Puerto Montt (3-1) on the road with 37-point difference 87-50. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ceb Puerto Montt. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Alemana P. dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Ceb Puerto Montt's 32. Alemana P. forced 26 Ceb Puerto Montt turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Ceb Puerto Montt's players. It was a good game for the former international center Tatiana Gomez (192-81) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 5 blocks. The former international guard Fabiola Pardo (165-76) contributed with 5 points, 10 rebounds, 17 assists and 10 steals for the winners. Point guard Martina Gallardo (168-3) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Analia Mendez added 6 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Ceb Puerto Montt. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alemana P. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record which they share with defeated Ceb Puerto Montt. Ceb Puerto Montt at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with Gimnastico and Infinito. Alemana P. will play against Frontera (#3) in Temuco in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Ceb Puerto Montt will have a break next round.
