An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Jinotega. First ranked Brumas faced 4th placed Ingenieria. Host Brumas (15-4) smashed guests from (11-10) 106-80. Brumas dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Ingenieria's 26. They outrebounded Ingenieria 47-27 including a 27-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Brumas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Ingenieria's players. The best player for the winners was American center Leon Hampton (213-95, college: Stillman) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). His fellow American import Timothy Simmons (195-92, college: DBU) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Hampton is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Brumas players scored in double figures. Brumas' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Ronald Lawton produced 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Rudy Taylor (198-83) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Brumas have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-4 record. Ingenieria lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost.
