Regular Season Round 13: Fantasmas - Santa Ana 89-85

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Santa Ana (7-3) against sixth ranked Fantasmas (6-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Santa Ana was defeated by Fantasmas in a tough game in San Vicente 85-89. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Santa Ana. Fantasmas made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Guard Randy Bell (193-98, college: Dalton St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds for the winners and Nick Moore (198-91, college: Nyack) chipped in 22 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side center Marc Montavious (206-90, college: Georgetown, KY) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Maurice Taylor (198-94, college: Niagara) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Santa Ana players scored in double figures. Fantasmas maintains sixth place with 6-5 record. Santa Ana at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Santa Tecla and Brujos. Fantasmas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Santa Ana will play on the road against Brujos in Izalco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
