Everything went according to plan in Montevideo where fifth ranked Malvin (8-3) outscored 11th ranked Capurro (1-9) 84-28 on Sunday. Malvin held Capurro to an opponent 17.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.2 percent accuracy of the winners. Malvin forced 31 Capurro turnovers and outrebounded them 58-35 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Capurro's players. The best player for the winners was the former international Florencia Somma (175-88) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Argentinian center Johanna Puchetti (191-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds.
