Regular Season Round 9: Brisas - Boston College 62-72
Date: October 24, 2021
Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Santiago: Boston College (#5) and Brisas (#10). Brisas were defeated at home 62-72 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Boston College outrebounded Brisas 43-30 including 34 on the defensive glass. Forward Rodrigo Rojas (-97) notched 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Felix Ibarra (187-93) supported him with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Four Boston College players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 6 rebounds by Camilo Ramirez (-90) did not help to save the game for Brisas. Forward Ignacio Riquelme (183-88) added 12 points. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Boston College have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Brisas stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. They share it with Arturo Prat. Boston College will meet Arturo Prat (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Brisas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Stadio Italiano.
