Bayamon fired past Guaynabo to take the lead. Vaqueros had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The former international Javier Mojica (189-84, college: CCSU, agency: Paris Global Sports) stepped up and scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and American forward Kristian Doolittle (201-97, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Vaqueros' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Ghanian center Amida Brimah (213-94, college: UConn) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and American point guard Justin Dentmon (183-85, college: Washington, agency: Slash Sports) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
