Very expected game when 10th ranked Chalchuapa (1-11) was crushed on the road by second ranked San Salvador (9-1) 108-74 on Wednesday. San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Chalchuapa's 34. They outrebounded Chalchuapa 54-34 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Chalchuapa's players. The best player for the winners was American swingman Eddie Ishman (197-86, college: Miles) who had a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import power forward Jacara Cross (204-98, college: JSU, agency: Ballerz Unlimited LLC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Five San Salvador players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican point guard Ryann Abraham (182-87, college: App State) produced 38 points (!!!) and 4 assists and American forward Willie Wiley (201, college: Evansville) added 21 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Chalchuapa's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. San Salvador have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Aguila. Loser Chalchuapa stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. San Salvador will meet El Rapido (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Chalchuapa will play against the league's leader Aguila in San Miguel and hope to win that game.
