No shocking result in a game in Montevideo where Bigua smashed Capitol 97-73 on Friday. They outrebounded Capitol 47-26 including a 38-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bigua looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international guard Santiago Vidal (180-89) scored 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international Martin Rojas (194-98) chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Bigua's coach Diego Cal felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward John Dickson (198-90, college: Sacramento St.) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Davaunta Thomas (196-95, college: UAFS) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Bigua and four Capitol players scored in double figures. Bigua's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Nacional.
