Regular Season Round 2: Aguada - Penarol 84-70

Aguada defeated Penarol in Montevideo 84-70. Aguada shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. The best player for the winners was American point guard Tyreek Duren (183-91, college: La Salle) who scored 21 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Mathias Calfani (204-92) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Aguada players scored in double figures. American John Flowers (200-89, college: WVU) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import center Lee Roberts (203-87, college: Findlay, OH) added 16 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Penarol will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Aguada will try to continue on its current victory against Capitol. It will be extra interesting game as Capitol is their local rival from Montevideo.
