The game between closely ranked teams ended with leader Independ.O.'s (6-0) road victory over their biggest opponent Estudiantes T. (4-1) 78-75 on Saturday. It was a great evening for power forward Fernando Martina (200-81) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Salvador Giletto (195-93) helped adding 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Independ.O. players scored in double figures. Independ.O.'s coach used entire bench in such tough game. At the losing side guard Jose Muruaga (188-84) responded with 26 points and Pablo Walter (202-86) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Independ.O. have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Newly promoted Independ.O. maintains first place with 6-0 record, which they share with Dep Viedma. Estudiantes T. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with San Isidro and CAO Ceres. Independ.O. will meet at home Jachal (#5) in the next round. Estudiantes T. will play against the league's leader Barrio Parque (#1) in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
