Quimsa used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Santa Fe 89-71 on Wednesday night. Quimsa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International Mauro Cosolito (195-88) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Haitian forward Jeantal Cylla (201-96, college: Arkansas, agency: Interperformances) produced 17 points and American guard Dallas Morgan (185, college: CMU, agency: BIG) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Four Quimsa and five Union SF players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quimsa will meet Comunicaciones in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Union SF will play against Olimpico in La Banda and hope to win that game.
