Instituto used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Mar del Plata 81-61 on Sunday night. Instituto dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Penarol's 30. Instituto forced 21 Penarol turnovers. Juan Tulian (196-0) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Lautaro Urquiza (177-1) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Instituto players scored in double figures. Instituto's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tomas Cattaneo responded with 21 points and Joaquin Cabrera scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Instituto will meet at home Ferro in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Penarol will play against Riachuelo LR in La Rioja and hope to win that game.
