It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Santa Tecla. Brujos forced 19 Santa Tecla turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Brujos made 18 blocks. American forward Harrison Rieger (196-98) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks for the winners and Guyanese-American center Anthony Moe (206-90, college: Millersville) chipped in 20 points, 10 rebounds and 9 blocks. The best for the losing side was center Carlos Arias (200-89) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and guard Gerardo Rivas (182-1) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Brujos moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion Santa Tecla dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Brujos will meet Chalchuapa (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Santa Tecla will play against Santa Ana (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
