Regular Season Round 3: San Martin - Obras 80-63

Rather predictable result when San Martin (3-1) won against Obras (2-3) in Corrientes 80-63 on Friday. San Martin outrebounded Obras 45-26 including a 39-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Franco Mendez (188-2) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Maximiliano Andreatta (211-98, college: Gannon) accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Five San Martin players scored in double figures. San Martin's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Ignasio Respaud came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Matias Von Schmeling (200-1) added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Obras in the defeat. San Martin will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Obras will play against Obera (#3) and hope to secure a win.
