Not a big story in a game when Olimpico (1-3) was outscored by Obera (4-1) in La Banda 93-69 on Friday. Obera dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpico's 40. They outrebounded Olimpico 49-36 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Obera looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Olimpico's players. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Stefano Alesso (211-3) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Franco Fragozo (198-1) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Leon Luna (183-2) came up with 23 points and Bolivian guard Alvaro Pereyra (-0) added 11 points respectively for Olimpico in the defeat. Five Obera and four Olimpico players scored in double figures. Obera will meet at home Obras (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olimpico will play against Boca Jrs and hope to win that game.
