Rather predictable result in Corrientes where tenth ranked Regatas (3-2) defeated 12th ranked Obras (2-4) 80-71 on Sunday. Point guard Tobias Franchela (185-1) fired 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners (made all of his eight free throws). Dominican center Rey Abad (210-2) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Regatas' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Matias Von Schmeling (200-1) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds and Alejo Digon added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Regatas moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Obras lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Ferro. Regatas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Corrientes to the arena San Martin.
