There was a minor upset in Corrientes where their close opponent Regatas (2-3) was defeated by tenth ranked Obras (2-4) 81-76 on Monday. Uruguayan forward Joaquin Rodriguez (198-99) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Uruguayan forward Emiliano Serres (205-97) chipped in 15 points. Four Obras players scored in double figures. Guard Juan Arengo (185-96) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the former international Paolo Quinteros (190-79) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Despite that victory Obras went down to thirteenth position due to points difference, which they share with Obera. Loser Regatas dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Obras will meet bottom-ranked Platense (#20) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Regatas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Corrientes to the arena San Martin.
