There was no surprise in Santa Fe where 13th ranked Gimnasia CR (1-3) was defeated by eleventh ranked Union (3-2) 105-95 on Tuesday. Union forced 22 Gimnasia CR turnovers. Nicolas Reynoso (191-99) fired 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Matias Fleury chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Union's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Franco Ferraria (191-2) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds and Tomas Solis added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Union and five Gimnasia CR players scored in double figures. Union moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Gimnasia CR dropped to the sixteenth position with three games lost. Union will meet at home La Union (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gimnasia CR will play against the league's second-placed Obera having rather not much hope for a victory.
