Correcaminos upset Atletico Nacional to force the decisive fifth game in the semifinal series. Correcaminos looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Correcaminos made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Tyler Gaskins (193-92, college: St.Peter's) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. International forward Michael Hicks (196-76, college: TAMUCC) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. American-Salvadorean point guard Robert Martinez (185-91, college: OLLU) replied with 20 points and power forward Daniel King (203-87, college: Texas Southern) added 6 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Atletico. Atletico's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
