Regular Season Round 6: Taurinos - Diablos 76-105

Cup round 6 most important game was a victory of Diablos over 5th ranked Taurinos 105-76 on Friday night. Diablos shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 64.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for guard Juan Mejias (184-95) who led his team to a victory with 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Martin Escobar (185-88) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Gregory Curvelo (195-90) replied with 13 points and forward Jesus Rodriguez (200-93) added 15 points in the effort for Taurinos. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Diablos (3-3) moved-up to third place. Taurinos at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Trotamundos. Diablos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Caracas Llaneros.
