No shocking result in a game when second ranked Union Florida (5-2) beat on the road bottom-ranked Catamarca (1-7) 74-62 on Saturday. Union Florida had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Union Florida especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The winners were led by forward Carla Miculka (174-93) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Ayelen Boujon supported her with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Union Florida players scored in double figures. Union Florida's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Milagros Acevedo did not help to save the game for Catamarca. Rocio Lezcano added 9 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Union Florida maintains second position with 5-2 record having just two points less than leader Berazategui, which they share with Obras. Loser Catamarca stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Union Florida will meet at home Quimsa (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Catamarca will have a break next round.
