Regular Season Round 5: Se7en - Lincoln 43-91

Very expected game when 13th ranked Se7en (1-4) was smashed at home by leader Lincoln (4-0) 91-43 on Saturday. Lincoln dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Se7en's 32. Lincoln forced 40 Se7en turnovers and had a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Se7en's players. Swingman Yurizell Funes (175-1) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and Alejandra Menendez (175-0) accounted for 19 points and 9 rebounds. Five Lincoln players scored in double figures. Karla Alas (165-96) came up with 10 points and forward Gracia Rojas (162-8) added 9 points respectively for Se7en in the defeat. Se7en's coach gave up on the game allowing to play thirteen players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Lincoln. Despite that victory Lincoln went down to second position due to points difference. Se7en lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth place with four games lost. They share the position with Quequeisque. Lincoln will meet at home Gorlias (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Se7en will play against L.M.Mons. in Santa Ana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
