Finals Game 5: Carolina - Santurce 80-63

Carolina moved within one win from the BSNF title. They toppled Santurce to take 3-2 lead in the Finals. The game was mostly controlled by Gigantes. Cangrejeras managed to win second period 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gigantes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Selena Lott (180-99, college: Marquette) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. International guard Tayra Melendez (183-93, college: URI) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. American power forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: Arizona St.) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and the former international point guard Dayshalee Salaman (163-90, college: LMU) added 22 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the guests.
