Regular Season Round 16: Pergamino - Lanus 92-98

The game between closely ranked teams ended with one of their biggest challengers Pergamino's (2-10) home loss to third ranked Lanus (7-6) 92-98 on Sunday. Lanus shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Mariano Gago (188-1) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) and naturalized Italian Juan Kelly (189-88) who added 15 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Khalil Fuller (207-95, college: CSUSM) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and forward Benjamin Levato (188-99) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Pergamino's coach Julian Pagura rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Lanus maintains third position with 7-6 record behind leader Independ.O. Pergamino lost fifth consecutive game. Pergamino at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Lanus will meet league's second-placed Racing in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pergamino will play against the league's leader Zarate Basket and hope to secure a win.
