An interesting game for Santa Tecla (10-4) which played road game in Santa Ana against one of their biggest challengers L.M.Mons. 2 (7-7). Second ranked Santa Tecla managed to get a 9-point victory 77-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of L.M.Mons. 2. They outrebounded L.M.Mons. 2 69-31 including a 29-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cuban Leidys Oquendo (180-82) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 29 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Dominican guard Genesis Evangelista (180-93) chipped in 31 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Santa Tecla's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Monica Aristondo (163-92) responded with 27 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Sofia Alfaro (152-3) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four L.M.Mons. 2 players scored in double figures. Santa Tecla maintains second position with 10-4 record having four points less than leader FAS.
