There was an upset when higher ranked Union SF (2-4) lost to sixteenth ranked La Union (2-3) in Santa Fe 77-82 on Sunday. Point guard Nicolas Ferreyra (181-85) notched 9 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and American forward Zac Cuthbertson (201-96, college: Coastal) supported him with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 10 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists by point guard Andres Jaime (184-0) did not help to save the game for Union SF. International power forward Gonzalo Torres (201-94) added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
