Quarter-Finals Round 4: Santa Tecla - San Salvador 87-103

San Salvador rallied past Santa Tecla to secure the semifinal berth. San Salvador shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by Dominican guard Bernardo Polanco (189-94) who scored that evening 41 points (!!!) and American point guard Marquise Mosley (175-97, college: Biola, CA, agency: BIG) supported him with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Even a double-double of 27 points and 20 rebounds by Vincentian center Akeme Smart (218-91, college: McCook CC) did not help to save the game for Santa Tecla. American swingman Andravious Smith (196-95, college: Tougaloo) added 24 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
