The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Racing's (10-4) home victory over 3rd placed Lanus (7-7) in Chivilcoy 84-61 on Friday. Racing dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Lanus' 30. They outrebounded Lanus 37-25 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Joaquin Gamazo (198-91) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Matias Morera (191-99) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five Racing players scored in double figures. Racing's coach Diego Dambrosio felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Martin Franchino (201-93) came up with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Pablo Aaron (199-0) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Lanus in the defeat. Racing maintains second place with 10-4 record having just two point less than leader Independ.O., which they share with Barrio Parque.
