Regular Season Round 11: L.M.Mons. 2 - San Miguel 72-58

Very significant was L.M.Mons. 2's (#3, 8-8) victory against 4th placed San Miguel (3-13) 72-58. L.M.Mons. 2 forced 24 San Miguel turnovers. Strangely San Miguel outrebounded L.M.Mons. 2 57-45 including 20 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Monica Aristondo (163-92) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 12 steals. Guard Cibeles Valencia (175-88) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Honduran center Jani Martinez came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 28 rebounds and point guard Zabdi Rivera (170-2) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for San Miguel in the defeat. San Miguel's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. L.M.Mons. 2 maintains third place with 8-8 record having eight points less than leader FAS. San Miguel lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 13 games lost.
