Regular Season Round 8: Broncos - Cangrejeros 63-81

There was a minor upset in Caracas where their close opponent Broncos (4-5) were defeated by third ranked Cangrejeros (3-6) 81-63 on Sunday. Cangrejeros forced 20 Broncos turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Carlos Gascon (178-90) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Jorge Morloy (182-2) who added 8 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Michael Rudas (179-94) responded with 10 points and 5 assists and point guard Raymond Roca (192-0) scored 14 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Cangrejeros went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Taurinos. Loser Broncos keep the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Trotamundos and Supersonicos. Cangrejeros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Broncos will play against the league's leader Guaiqueries in Porlamar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
