No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Guaiqueries (7-0) beat 6th ranked Centauros (1-7) in Porlamar 70-64 on Thursday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Guaiqueries made 8 blocks. International Edgar Martinez (199-97) notched 16 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Luis Duarte (190-94) supported him with 15 points.
