There was no surprise in Formosa where 14th ranked La Union (2-4) was defeated by second ranked Obera (9-3) 87-76 on Thursday. Obera dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to La Union's 28. They outrebounded La Union 43-24 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Franco Fragozo (198-1) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Gonzalo Pryszczuk (193-1) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest.
