No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Teclenas (5-1) smashed on the road 8th ranked Se7en (2-5) 95-35 on Thursday. Teclenas held Se7en to an opponent 24.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Teclenas forced 38 Se7en turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Se7en's players. It was a great evening for Jocelyne Zambrano (169-93) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Gabriela Chavez (163-98) helped adding 16 points and 4 assists. Four Teclenas players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Monica Landaverde (173-3) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and Karla Alas (165-96) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Teclenas. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Bulldogs. Loser Se7en keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Salvadorenas. Teclenas will meet at home Gorlias (#7) in the next round. Se7en will play against Quequeisque in San Salvador and hope to secure a win.
